I'm new to this so I'm a newbie so I would like a little advice on using a different app than o-kam pro if it's possible. I have szsinocam qw6 cams and need to record on my own hard drive via mini PC..really don't want to pay for expensive cloud service. Also thaire cruise function doesn't work and has no control features speed ECT. So any advice on apps directions to how I would set up and type of protocol it uses so I can go in without blinders and know what I'm looking for to set up. Thanks

I searched for that particular camera and found nothing and found nothing on the Szsinocam web site.
But I'll hazard a guess that it is wireless, uses an app to scan a QR code on the camera and costs lest than $50, maybe less than $75 if it's PTZ.

The greatest majority of those cams in that genre use P2P (cloud) tech and do not provide a readily accessible RTSP video stream for other apps or PC programs to display; they want you use their cloud and a fee is involved if you want access to recordings.

If you care to, please answer some questions and we might be able to find a more suitable camera for you:
  1. Do you have a budget?
  2. Is it for indoor or outdoor?
  3. Is it mandatory that it be wireless? Wired (Ethernet) is so much more dependable.
  4. Must is be PTZ?
  5. What is it you expect to be able to see with the cam?
  6. How will you view the camera and it's video clips? PC? Smartphone? Both?

Thanks for this info. Go give more information so you can maybe have better knowledge.it issues an app called o-kam. Yess it scans I qr code but it also has a Wi-Fi ssid scan option. On my router is gives me the mac address. The ssid is a MC@ followed by a series of numbers. It's a ptz duel camera solar camera.
