What port do text alerts need open? I had everything outgoing blocked but that killed all my alerts. I'd like to keep my BI server as locked down as possible but still get text alerts.

Thanks

Push notifications or SMS / text? if it's the latter, then it's the SMTP port you set up for BI's 'Options', 'E-mail servers', as BI sends an e-mail to the SMS function of your cell. For example, if your cell phone is AT&T, it's "your10digitcell#@att.net", as found under 'Camera properties', 'alerts' , 'send an SMS text message'.

BTW, this info is found in BI "help' (the '?'), search for 'SMS' and select 'list topics', choose 'cam properties -alerts'.
For push notifications, use Help again, search for 'push', select 'list topics', select 'Options'.

BI Help is your friend!

Thanks! It was the latter...sms/text. I've made a firewall exception on port 465, so that is exactly what I needed.
