We don't go into the backyard often and respect noise ordinances. He watches us and my husband in the last video turns our back porch light on and off to show how bright his light is on us when we do anything with family for 20 minutes. We don't live in an HOA if that helps. I know I'm not the only one who goes through this. On and off like Morse code and even if we go out at different times and are quiet after noise ordinance times he's flashing his lights and opening and shutting his back patio door. He is a narcissist.

Is this same person you posted about in August? IMO, you're making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Some people have the neighbors from Hell. Although it annoys you couldn't it actually be worse? Like playing loud music from 10PM to 2AM? Or loud conversations on his deck (you mentioned in August) . Or a constantly barking dog? You might consider that and maybe even appreciate that it could be a lot worse.

I'd try my best to ignore him, get on with your life and raising your family and wouldn't engage him unless he actually made physical advances or verbal threats.

I can ignore his back patio music, him slamming his lawn mower for micro inch grass every other day, and his daily bass music from his garage next to us and constant stalking from front yard to backyard but don't shine lights in my backyard and turn the beam up when my husband is trying to create memorable moments he doesn't get to often with our daughter. Don't get me started with his two chihuahuas they are innocent and unfortunately have an owner that abuses their nature.

I'm more angry about those moments my husband tries to enjoy when he isn't working being interrupted. I could complain all day about the stupid crap our neighbor does and his attempts to talk to my husband and the dog crap he throws in our backyard but I am drawing the line at a light show.

Neighbors suck,

It happens everywhere. There are posts/videos here of someone of a neighbor getting physical, another of a neighbor shooting at their house, plenty of ding dong ditch, etc.

Maybe they don't like your burning and the smoke/smell comes over to their place?

He does that regardless of whether we have a fire or not. Even if we sit on our swing or chairs in silence he turns on his music, slams his patio doors consistently, and/or brings out his dogs to bark.

He acts like our property belongs to him and has been this way since we moved in. We see him for who he is and he hates that we don't care what he thinks of us or our property and acts this way. If he does it to my husband or me we don't care just don't start doing stupid crap in front of our 3 year old. I'm more territorial about my child than my property.

If I had a 3 year old in the back yard I'm pretty sure I'd draw the line at the dog crap instead of the light show.

If you can prove that for sure with video your local health department and possibly DHR involvement will get a knock on his door from local law enforecement......that's a health hazard and he could be charged with child endangerment. If it comes to that be prepared for escalation of his attitude and actions if, in fact, he is mentally skewed.

Yep, when it comes to "is this the hilll I want to die on", my child's safety and welfare is that hill. But be prepared for the likely blowback.

Our county said we can't prove that it is his dog's feces in our yard since they have a problem with strays in our area anyways. I've just had to deal with it and don't have it captured since he uses blindspots. I don't have a wired camera that continues to run only a motion activated camera. He has been mentally skewed and we get blowback just for ignoring him. Wish he would leave and go back to Washington he has no kids, wife, or anything tying him to Florida.

So your backyard is not totally enclosed and is fenced only on 2 sides? The 2 sides shown in your videos?

Our backyard is totally enclosed. The county doesn't help with anything related to local disputes and when I called the police about it they said same thing as you I have to have it recorded. The county basically asked me if I'm sure he threw poop in my yard and if it wasn't my own dog (deceased) or a stray in our area.

Not to keep beating a dead horse but if your yard IS totally enclosed (strays can't enter) AND you no longer have a dog it would make sense, I would think, to a sensible, logical person that it IS his dog poop, esepcially if it's near the fence on his side.

IMO, commit to documenting his activity on video with a decent camera so you can get him stopped or plan on trying your best to ignore him and move on....one or the other...just my 2 cents. I realize it's easy for me to say that but oftentimes an unassociated 3rd party has the most objective view.

Lately I feel like I have more brain cells than the local government when it comes to common sense which makes me sad. Also it is exactly the take they have because the local government is also the objective third party and not another person with critical thinking skills. I will have to invest in the wired constant surveillance camera because I do collect videos and evidence.

Have you tried cleaning your rifle out back? Works well for me :idk:
My husband shoots his arrows into his target sometimes out back. I haven't gotten a rifle yet but that will be an investment after wiring that constant recording camera.

In the middle of Milton right now and his place is lit up like Christmas. And from Helene I have gathered he is a coward that clings onto his life and is afraid of dying in the dark. He shouldn't make enemies when living in Florida when the elements aren't on his side and vulnerable situations humble you.

Find a piece of really shiny steel or aluminum. The more reflective the better. Mount it on your house at the end closest to the fence. Angle it so it reflects the light at the area he needs to be to turn on the light. If you can do the math, you can give it a slight curve so all of the light reflected will be directed at one spot. This would serve double duty since it would also block your camera from seeing the light directly. Although you may be able to manually set the camera to ir at night instead of automatic and the light won't trigger the camera to jump into color mode.

This really sucks.

But what camera help is it that you are actually asking the peeps of IPCAMTALK for?
