This was 2 years ago around 1:45AM. Didn't notice the shotgun until I was on the phone with dispatch and playing it back to describe the suspects. Had I accidentally left my doors unlocked or had something of value in sight it could have turned out bad as I was definitely out gunned. I have since upgraded.

Anyway, if you decide to confront a thief at night, always assume he has a buddy or buddies that you can't see. And always assume they are armed. This is the 3rd time in 8 years I have captured someone looking into my vehicle at night and each time there were 2 or more of them.

Did they come back for the package left on the curb?

There is a gutter right there. They just hit the cars on the street that intersects with my street. Anything they didn't want or was of no value they put down the gutter. Public Works was out that morning retrieving backpacks and other stolen items from the gutters.

"...out gunned..." depends how good you are at night and distance with that pistol. Try a Brno CZ 75.

hickok45.. I bought my Springfield XD45 after watching one of his videos. That's the one you see me holding. He likes his Glocks though.
