Thoughts on using Quad9 DNS service?

First I've heard of this, what do you experts think?
I searched here, and only found one brief mention.

Been using it for a while. It’s a project between IBM and a few others. They support DNS over TLS which is great for folks worried about privacy.

Quad 9 and Quad 1 (or whatever it is called) were given Steve Gibson’s (Security Now podcast) seal of approval, IIRC.
