Thrown object detection

Other risk from robbery and direct violent acts is poisoning pets inside private area.
It should be detected by an "intelligent" camera network controller SW.
As it requires the analysis of successive video frames and trajectory detection of moving objects it is questionable if possible with BI detection features.
Has anybody some idea how should it be done?
E.g. AI can get given number and interval successive frames from motion detection trigger.
However it's not clear whether it (can) use(s) them for temporal detection.

No. Like a table tennis ball. On camera it's clearly visible.
