UPDATE: Thanks for the replies. I discovered the older cameras didn't have the FTP settings in the software. Once I realized what was going on, I was able to update to what I needed on the newer cameras. THANKS FOR ALL THE QUICK ADVICE. GREATLY APPRECIATED!!

Greetings from a new guy to this forum!

I use Reolink POE and WiFi cameras and am quite happy.

My question:

Trying to find a camera that can be set to a low frame rate. Reolink only goes down to 2 frames per second.

I need a camera that can be set to 1 frame per 15 minutes.

I am trying to time lapse via CameraFTP.

Any suggestions on better camera or online FTP service FOR TIME LAPSE would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Dave

Can you have it take PICTURES instead of (or in addition to) video?

In addition to what's already been stated by others, I'm pretty sure you want a snapshot every 15 minutes, not a frame every 15 minutes.
Many cams and certainly Blue Iris can post those snapshots via FTP....i've doing that for years now.
Then you can stitch the JPG snapshots together with 3rd party software, such as Time Lapse Creator, and make an MP4.

As a matter of fact, yes. I found settings in the software for the newer cameras I have installed and was able to custom set the times. The older camera didn't have the FTP settings I was looking for. Thanks for the reply.

Do you have 'HomeAssistant' running already?
I use the Dahua API to grab a snapshot every hour and save it to a USB drive plugged into my Raspberry Pi running Home Assistant.
Likely your Reolink cameras will have API to query for a snapshot as well.

Or,
Time scheduling of the camera to do a snapshot every 15 minutes and save to the camera's local SD card. 15 minutes = 900 seconds.
This video shows on a Dahua NVR, but the same works within a Dahua camera's local interface and SD card.
