I'm about to spray paint my LPR camera brown to match the tree its on. But part of me thinks I should leave it be so it stands out, and potential criminals see a camera

To paint/camo camera, or not?

I'm sort of a low profile type person so I have painted my tree mounted cameras camo. I have made an exception, recently, and replaced a failed camera with a new one that is snow white. That's due to the weather here which is too cold for painting right now. In the spring, it'll get a shot of camo.

I go the opposite deterrence route. All of mine are easily seen if someone looks.
Still surprises me how few people do see them. Probably 90% never even notice that they're there. A while back I had the Vivint security sales guys come to the door where there's one within 3 feet of their faces pointing right at them and even they never saw it. ; )
