There are hundreds of traffic cameras along highways in Florida, viewable in real-time on FDOT's website. I came across the state's minimum requirements/specifications for these cameras. Does anyone know the specific type of cameras they are using and how they are connected? Some seem to have antennas, but they're pointing downward, which makes me wonder if they might be sensors instead. I also assume many are connected via fiber optics. Can anyone share more details?

Based on the text font/format I think it looks like Dahua, Uniview or Vivotek.

Some of the older cameras look like they are analog with an IP encoder, like a Bosch encoder unit.

Additionally, being that it's Florida DOT I doubt that any cams added in the last few years will NOT be NDAA-compliant.

You are lucky to get live road cams. Back in the day when I was using KODI, I found the NCDOT website that had traffic cams pictures and was able to access them. I placed the 4 cams for my drive into work into a grid, however they only updated them every 5 minutes. I asked NCDOT why not the live cams, they said no...only for official DOT use and special access, like local news. Worked most of the time to decide highway or back roads. Moot point now with smart phones giving us live traffic info.
