An owl flew to close to the camera and the IR shut way down, ten seconds later the IR's came back on... also in the middle of the video a bat flies by..
I have slowed that portion of the video down to 1/10. What camera settings can i use to pull a clearer still from the video? And also, I'm assuming the IR is the SMART IR? Can I turn that off?
I am recording at 30fps with i-frame at 30, shutter priority and set at 1/250

I might have found the IR issue, the night illuminator mode was set to AUTO and the overexposure remover was set to GENERAL.
I'm thinking the mode should be manual and turn OFF the overexposure remover?

The camera's IR reflect back too much from the nest(too near), so maybe need to adjust the angle of the camera. The Smart IR is working great.

One solution might be to turn IR off and go with a small external IR flood light mounted away from the camera, maybe in another tree to the right (how far depends on the power of the light) or a branch much further up shining down. This might allow you to mount it far enough away that you don't get the backwash from the tree trunk.
