Turret camera - horizontal?

I have a Hikvision DS-2CD2347G1-L; I'd like to mount it on a vinyl block that's in place on the wall, is that possible? I'm going to play with positioning but wasn't sure if it's recommended. I was going to use this to mount to the block: DS-1280ZJ-PT6

or would this be better?

You can mount it vertical or horizontal just fine.

You can mount the camera directly to the wall if you would like. You would only use the junction box or wall mount to get a better angle and to hide the wiring in case you can not push everything back through the hole in the wall. The eyeball of the turret can be adjusted to any angle you want.
