Two-way mic help

So I’d really like to yell at my kids through the camera,... ok well, not really but I would like all the features activated.

i'm using this camera with blue Iris. Camera works but the mic doesn’t. At least not through the app. Never tested it through the pc. Camera is wired, not wireless.

edit: just checked again and mic isn’t working in either direction

Under "camera settings", "audio" do you have "enable audio channel" checked?
If so, when on app, touch mike icon to turn it green and speak thru mike to cam speaker; touch headphone icon to listen.
Works fine of my Amcrest IP2M-841 on front porch.

Yep. Can hear audio but nobody in the room can hear me talking.

Got it working but audio quality is terrible and voice coming out is almost unintelligible. Anyone have a fix?

Try logging into camera's webGUI, go to settings for audio, try changing state of noise filter, encode mode, sample rate, mic gain, etc.
