Have been lurking here on and off for about a year, and it's largely due to the existence of this forum that I now have a nine camera Blue Iris setup. By browsing and searching I was able to glean sufficient information to buy a variety of 2MP cameras - from Andy, naturally. Also got a reasonable deal on an Optiplex 7050 (i5-7500, 8MB).
Our house is concrete, so running Cat5e inside the walls was impractical. Instead, I have a YT4 'ring main' conduit running externally around the building at approximately ground floor ceiling height. It works for us ;-)
Happy to be here, and just wanted to show appreciation of the knowledge-base that IP Cam Talk has become.
