Edit: switched to a different POE switch and it now appears to be working. No idea why.


I just received a brand new ANPR camera from Andy and have not been able to access it, either through a browser or through SmartPSS.

In various browsers and on two different machines I cannot connect to browser. Unable to ping camera directly and does not show up in a LanScan.

It does appear as a client device in UI's Network app at the expected address of 192.168.1.108.

In ConfigTool I was able to initialize the camera and set a password. I was having problems connecting to the camera both before and after initializing. Under Device Config the connection fails. Clicking on the button to take me to the web interface fails in the browser because it cannot connect to the server. Using the manual reboot button in ConfigTool -> System Settings -> Reboot reports connection failed.

In SmartPSS I am unable to get the camera to show up. All of my other cameras appear fine.

I have tried using the reset button for ten seconds, with and without a SD card installed.
