Hi all,

I have recently brought a second hand system, but the previous owner didn't unbind there account first. I can't seem to be able to unbind them myself. Any suggestions please.

Thanks

Based on what I've read, depending on how old it is and for what region it was made, you might be able to unbind it with Hikvision's SADP tool.

If that doesn't work it may be because it has older firmware, as mentioned here:

Hi,

Not too old I think? From memory, when using the NVR interface it wouldn't come up with the capta code. No connection or something. And SADP also said no connection. Will try both again tomorrow and post images. Thanks.

You know what the NVR's IP is and if so, can you get on the same network, same subnet with a PC and ping that IP or bring up the NVR's embedded webGUI?

What is the NVR Firmware. If Previous owner binded account while in Firmware 3.x its unbindable. Hikvision did create a policy for unbind where you can ship it in then they would wipe it for you and ship it back.
So Options are Port Forward to get around it. Purchase new NVR thats not used or send it in.
Again you have a free NVR Dont expect much. Aswell that NVR isnt a Hikvision Product its OEM. well inside the USA that product is not supported but if you are in different country its possible to be a legit product.

Not sure if this will help.
I have managed to unbind a couple of Hikvision cameras by getting the right combination of camera firmware and SADP version. I have SADP versions 2.0, 30010, 3017, 3024 and 3045 to try. Not all of them offer an Unbind option. Be careful if you try downgrading the firmware as Hikvision have put in downgrade blocks on some versions of firmware.

I've recently purchased a fully boxed used Ezviz DB1C doorbell kit, so it's unlikely to have been stolen, that is bound to a unknown previous owner and so far I haven't been able to unbind it by trying all the permutations of SADP and firmware versions, so it doesn't always work.
