Uniview VCAs

For the last 6 months, I have been experimenting with settings to get intrusion zone VCAs to report fewer false positives but not miss people or vehicles entering them. The biggest issue I have is with shadows on days where clouds are passing by. The appearance of tree and building shadows after a cloud passes will often meet the criteria to send me an alert.

Has anyone found a good setting for cameras to minimize this? I have heard that zone crossing helps, but this is not supported by Uniview NVR or cameras.
