Upgrade to IP2M-841W

Guys - IP2M-841W has served me well but in one room where I don't have the strongest wifi signal, the video works but the mic doesn't work too well. When I speak into the blue iris IOS app, the audience simply listen some squeaky noise and can't decipher the words at all. Is there an upgrade to this web cam either amcrest with an upgraded Wifi chip that supports standards past 802.11B which I don't care if it's still 2MP. Also how do I find if my current camera is HW version v1,2 or 3 and would the wifi chip be similar across all 3?

Try this: issue the following HTTP command with a browser and you'll get YOUR response; mine is at the bottom. Note the "hardwareVersion"; after version 1 you may instaed see "V2" or "V3" aat the end of "deviceType as in "deviceType=IP2M-841B-V3".
The biggest difference between my V1 and V3 is the V1 had a barrel jack for 5VDC power, mic in and speaker out jacks and relay I/O terminals, the V3 has a micro USB for power and no mic in or speaker out jacks and no relay I/O terminals. The "processor" may be different.

Mine is HW v1 as well. I'm wondering now if HW ver3 has a better wifi chip
