US Ban import of Hikvision

Looks like the USA has banned the import of Hikvision & Dahua.

I read the news on South China Morning Post, in part it states:

The US Commerce Department expanded its trade blacklist on Monday to include 20 local public security bureaus in Xinjiang and eight technology giants, including Hikvision and Zhejiang Dahua Technology, two of the world’s largest manufacturers of video surveillance products.

I would assume a trade blacklist means no more imports? I am trying to confirm with another source. If you have seen anything, please post here.

There has many Huawei phones selling on amazon, so you will know how is going with dahua or Hikvsion in the future. Right now all shipment to USA still very fast without any delay.

Ok, I did a big more digging. There is not a ban on imports. There is a ban on Hikvision & Dahua from buying parts from the USA.

they should ban anything not made in usa
