Using a Dahua NVR with a Switch? Noobie

Hey all

I have a Dahua NVR 8 ports Poe. I also have a 16 port Poe network switch. Can I run all my IP cameras to the poe switch and just one cable from the switch to the NVR?

Sorry, I know this is a basic question. The problem is that all my cables terminate in a place which is noisd sensitive and I want to run all of them into a switch and one cable away to the NVR ( which sounds like a jet engine)

I think that's exactly how it connects. Should be a separate network port on the back side of the NVR to connect it to your regular home network (via plugging into your switch).
