Wiring the main door lock to an external VTO is a security risk in my view as an intruder can smash open the VTO and short out the wires to the lock. (Yes you can make this harder by removing the labels on the wires but you just have to look at an online wiring diagram to know which wires must go to the lock)
Instead we want to use the DEE1010B module to control the main lock since that would not expose any direct wiring connections to the lock and to open the lock an intruder would have to spoof RS485 messages
However the VTO configuration does not appear to allow you set the DEEE1010B to the main (i.e. first) lock. Changing the setting that switches between wired and RS485 seems to make no difference
Also the VTH monitors show two locks in the VTO monitoring screen but we only have one lock. How can I disable the second lock as this will just confuse users?
Does anyone know a way around these issues?
Thanks
