FWIW, the highly-touted (and probably best in class) Varifocal turret IP cams have an impressive Max Aperture of 1.4. Yet keep in mind that max aperture is only achieved at the shortest focal length or the widest zoom. The more that you zoom in, the less light will hit the sensor. I say the specs are incomplete because it should state the aperture to be expected when zoomed-in. Just something to keep in mind.
