VTO2000A & VTH5221D firmware upgrade

Hi everyone, i've already posted my question into a wrong thread, therefore i'm opening a new one as per instructions of @riogrande75

I live in a building with 8 apartments and we have the following setup since 2019:
VTO2000A - V3.120.
8x VTH5221D - V4.000.

My unit died recently so i was given a new one by a reseller here in Slovenia (VDI4007GW-P). That new unit has V4.700. version on it, so that's with SIP and all others including VTO don't have SIP versions. Consequently i can't connect my unit to VTO - only camera and unlocking works, but nobody can ring my apartment and communication doesn't work. The reseller just briefly stated i should update all devices to SIP versions, without any additional help.

My questions now:
1. Where do i get latest firmware for VTHs with Slovenian language (ideally)?
2. Where do i get latest firmware for VTO that will for sure work for VTO2000A as i read is GEN1?
3. Do i need to update only firmware or anything extra? Any instructions anywhere online regarding both matters?
4. Ideally i wouldn't want to bother my neighbors about this so it would be much easier for me to simply downgrade my new unit to non SIP firmware - is that even possible? I don't care if it would be outdated, as long as it works without me bugging neighbors.
5. Any extra tips for me?

Thanks!!

"Hi!
This is definetly the wrong thread for your problem - pls. create a new one!

You can download all neccessary files from here: dahua-vto-vth-firmware-link-sammlung-anleitungen

Off course you have to upgrade and reconfigure all your neigbours devices as well.
As your new device seems to be latest generation, I am afraid that there is no Non-SIP firmware available for it.

So the only way is to go for SIP. Pls. note that you have to have some basic understanding in regards to dahua's philosophy of device management.
I suggest also to watch some videos on how to setup a sip server on vto + hook up the vth's."

I do have additional questions now, if you could kindly let me know:
1. I suppose config tool (device upgrade section) is enough to use for updating firmware? Or do i need any other program on top of it?
2. How many settings will updated firmware erase - i'm ok if the VTH is completely factory reset, but unsure about VTO as i've never configured the lock myself. I'm positive i can hook up VTH and VTO camera and communication-wise afterwards, is there anything special i have to do regarding the lock opening though?
3. Is there any way i can save current settings and do a rollback in case something fails?
4. Do i need to update only firmware or is there anything else on top of it (i've read about MCU but i don't know what that is?)

Thanks!

Upgrade firmware (General_VTOXXX_Eng_P_16M_SIP_V4.300.0000002.0.R.20210722), then language files (General_VTOXXX-data_EngTurSlkPldHgrFinCzeBul_P_16M_SIP_PART_V4.300.0000003.0.R.20190612) if required and then MCU (General_VTO2000A-MCU_V3.000.0000000.0.R.20181123).

1.) Use config tool within the dahua toolbox.
2.) Watch dahua's configuration videos. These explain almost everything neccessary. Off course most of your old settings are gone after the change to SIP.
3.) On VTO you can export config. Dunno if this makes sens at all on VTH's. Just make some pics of the settings with your mobile. That should sufficient.
4.) It makes sense to upgrade MCU to latest version, off course. Also the language files should be flashed after the main upgrade. In fact, the voice prompts will be added and only then you can change it for your country.

Off course you can soft-brick the devices, if you are not aware what you do. This forum is full of threads with flash-broken devices.
So either read how-to's and watch dahuas videos or let someone else do the job.
