A customer of mine has inherited this system when he bought the house, unfortunately he doesn't know the password, reset button appears to do nothing. Any ideas please.
I've tried to ring that number from the UK, not sure where it's located and the line goes dead, tried the USA dialling code.After the many hoops one has to jump through in the instructions found in the attachment below, it might be the easiest to phone them (if anyone will answer):
"Call the Technical Support Hotline at 1-833-574-9124 (Option 1)
- Technical Support Team can reset the password of your device.
- Provide the serial number found below the QR code. Example: VHU75a#2019-03-21#157#112f34b8974F9
- Technical Support will provide you a temporary password which will expire within 24 hours.
- Please modify the password immediately."
It doesn't work unfortunately.A search of this forum has posts suggesting that you could also try the Hikvision Password Reset Tool

Yes, it's not much help really. I'm surprised it can't be reset. I don't think I'd buy this product, they don't reply to emails and their supplier in the UK, ADI aren't interested.Have you attempted some of the methods in the attached instructions in post # 2?
