WD Purple Drive

Hello
Trying to install a WD Purple HD on a Hikvision 7616, the hard drive did not come with the cables and not sure which ones we need or where to get them. Any direction appreciated.

You're looking for a SATA data connector and SATA power connector. They look like this:

The smaller one is for data and the wider one is for power. Sometimes they are combined into a single cable. There should be a power connector coming from the NVR power supply. If the inside of your NVR looks similar to the inside of the 7716 then the power cable should be in the bottom left bundle of cables shown here:

and if a data cable isn't provided you'll have to acquire one and connect it to one of the 4 black connectors shown on the bottom left of the board.

SATA drives all use the same SATA connector for data. I buy my cables from monoprice so this is what you're looking for: http://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=8775 Or you can just buy it from any electronics store. If you know any IT guys they probably have some laying around actually.

You should've got them with the NVR, so check the packaging.
