Hey all! I'm really hoping someone in this group has an idea about what is going on with some of my cameras. I've been tearing my hair out trying to figure out the problem and it's driving me absolutely crazy.

I have 12 Hikvision POE cameras that have all been in service for several years. All of a sudden 5 of the cameras became inaccessible. I rebooted the cameras and that didn't bring them back up.

What I found that did work was to reboot a TrendNet Smart switch. Sometimes I'd have to reboot it several times to get all 5 of the cameras back up. But they would come back. They would stay up for some period of time from hours to several days, then all 5 would go down again... at the same time! Always the same 5 cameras. This has been going on for about 4 months now. A few weeks ago 2 additional Hik cameras started going down as well. So no I have 7 cameras doing this, they all go down at the same time.

I have tried changing the IP addresses and port numbers, but that hasn't stopped them from going down.

The affected camera models are:
DS-2CD2032-I V5.2.5build 141201
DS-2CD2032-I V5.2.5build 141201
DS-2CD2032-I V5.4.800build 210813
DS-2CD2032F-1 V5.4.5build 170123
DS-2CD2232-I5 V5.4.0build 160530

Ds-2CD2032-I V5.4.5build 170123
DS-2CD2032-I V5.4.5build 170123

All 12 Hik cameras are wired to 2 TrendNet POE switches. The POE switches are then connected to a TrendNet Web Smart Switch. I had assumed it was a problem with the Smart Switch, but it was replaced and they still go down.

Any ideas? Could this be some kind of an attack on these Hikvision cameras?

Thank you in advance for any and all help. I'm happy to provide any other information needed.

To exclude an attack , put them in separated LAN that only you have access to. Also restrict internet access to that LAN.

Thank you so much for the helpful advice. What is the correct way to do this? My router is an Apple Airport Extreme. My network currently uses the normal 192.168.1.x IP addresses.
