what makes a camera pulse?

I have 4 cameras on a netgear POE switch and one of them a Hikvision DS-2DF8C842IXS-AELW started sticking in night mode and day mode at night but would switch back at random for random times. I contacted the the authorized seller and we ran through diagnosis including putting it on a new POE injector. updating the firmware and resetting the camera. now in the course of doing this I noticed 2 other issues one is a heartbeat style pulse in the video and the other is a freezing of the video when there is random movement. before sending the camera in for a 2 to 3 month repair time is there anything I am missing?

oh the other cameras are on that POE switch are {2}IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E and one IPC-B5842E-Z4E with no issues

Watch the "pulse" carefully and get an idea of how often it "pulses". I'll bet it's probably at one second if the frame and iframes are matched. That's sort of a "normal" behavior.

The rest of the problems I suspect are camera/firmware related from what you've said.
