Maybe a stupid question so apologies, but I cannot find the answer.
I have a Hikvision system, 7608 NVR and 4 x 8mp darkfighter cams (not that I think this is relevant really). When I change the settings on the camera such a compression type (H.264 etc), or indeed the bitrate etc directly on the cameras then often the NVR changes it back....so I change the settings on the NVR hoping it will change the camera settings, then the cameras change it back!
So my question is what takes priority? Which one ultimately tells the other what settings to use?
It's driving me mad! I've updated the firmware on all but it still happens.
