The irony is that ever since Steve Job's passing away, Apple has failed to innovate any further. Yesterday's iPhone release was dull and overexaggerated by the Apple branding
I would argue that Apple has never innovated anything (arguably the exception is the M1 chip although that is really just an ARM processor with a few changes, so can it really be called innovative?). They are experts at taking existing technology that hasn't been widely adopted and making it wildly popular however. Apple is probably the best design/marketing company ever created, but I wouldn't say they have ever been an innovative company. In fact, their hardware is generally several generations behind what is cutting edge (again, the exception being the M1 chip).
People think that Apple is the inventor of these things. Every one is untrue:
- graphical interface for computers
- computer mouse
- mobile digital audio devices (iPods)
- smart phones
They did make everyone of those items on the list a household object. They didn't invent any of them however.

Who invented the smartphone then ? Please name me the model which where like the iphone 2g before 2007. Apple didnt invent the appstore, which leaded to the massive success.. this were made by the jailbreak comunity and apple copied it.
Also the ipod.. sure there were some mp3 players available, but no device like an ipod ...
xerox invented the mouse we know for sure, but only apple made it to a mass market product. just look it up. apple bought the rights from.xerox for a fee bucks.
all is typical apple hate. apple had the most influence on touch devices and music players. without apple you would use your nokia/motorola phone till now

all windows mobile devices/blackberrys and their copies are not like an iphone.. and not like a smartphone we know today. sure they had many functions, but nothing like iphone.
also all these devices struggled to give you any good real browser functionality. this was a real game changer for me. blackberry browser were a pain in the ass. also these PDAs have zero functionality of an iphone...

Pulling my weight
The wild thing to me is that South Park premiered when I was in high school. I don't have high-school aged kids, but some of my peers do. It's crazy to think it's been on for a generation now.
