i tried updating to a newer one from dahua website, DH_IPC-HX5XXX-single-Riemann_MultiLang_PN_Stream4_V3.142.0000000.0.R.240516 but says wrong version camera, is there a newer version for this camera?

Hello! I have a couple of IPC-HDW5442TM-ASE cameras and I was wondering if there is a way to update the firmware? The Web UI says that its running 2.820.0000000.4.R, Build Date: 2021-05-27 on of the cameras and the other says V2.800.0000000.20.R, Build Date: 2020-09-03. None of them says that...

Unless you have a specific problem/issue you're attempting to resolve, knowing that a later firmware will DEFINITELY correct the problem/issue, it's best not to upgrade because you think it MIGHT solve a problem. Your current 2021-09-30 v2.840 firmware is a fairly recent release.

no problem just putting cameras onto a new NVR and thought may as well update them at same time incase better firmware out there.

just looking at another camera it has V2.840.0000000.27.R, Build Date: 2024-03-22 and this one gives me "algorithm authorization failed, import license". wtf??

Had this error today when upgrading mine, you have to upload the firmware.bin file as well via the update fuction inside the camera.

You have older version of 5442 (pre 2023 aka S1 series), so You must use Volt firmware...
Latest version is:

DH_IPC-HX5XXX-Volt_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_V2.840.0000000.27.R.240322

DH_IPC-HX5XXX-Volt_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_V2.840.0000000.27.R.240322.zip
What is the difference between them?

NP/PN naming convention is from very old times with separate firmwares for PAL & NTSC (50 / 60 Hz in electric grid) regions.
but now there is no difference - both firmware are the same.
