When is the Dahua Starlight Varifocal Turret (IPC-HDW5231R-Z) NOT going to be recommended as the bes

There is nonstop talk about the Dahua Starlight Varifocal Turret (IPC-HDW5231R-Z) being the best camera choice. I like it too and have a few of them but by now I was expecting a new comparable priced but better spec'd king of the hill.
Any new recommendations \ brands that rival this model for the price I should be looking at this year?

Not until someone gets off their lazy butts and builds a better camera with better sensors and better firmware.

Hopefully this Starlight will be available as an IP camera sometime this year! Then we can all relive the 8-month backlog again that the 5231 had when it first came out... Ugh

Is anyone sure they are actually going to be producing a like kind version as an IP version or just hoping so?
Pretty sure my wife won't let me swap out the 2mp 5321s that are less than a year old anyway.
Would be nice if they added way speaker capability and an alarm IO or two if they do.
