This is a perfect example of 10 kinds of stupid. If the video is to be taken at face value just listen to the endless stupidity. Instead of calling 911 they call the roommate who is just as stupid as you can see the water is up to his neck! 
As I’ve said millions of times over the years humans are the only species that can ignore fight / flight and turn off the innate will to survive.
The world isn’t better with these asshats still sucking oxygen.
Too bad they weren’t electrocuted or drowned. I’ve seen too many good EMS / FF lose their lives for stupid people!
