Wifi ONVIF IPC to POE NVR

I'm a newb trying to setup a DS-2CD2051G1-IDW1 to a 5216-16P-4K2SE. I was able to activate the IPC and see both the wired and wireless connections in SADP, iVMS-4200 and ASUS router. My ASUS AC3100 is running Merlin 384.15 as a NordVPN client. I wanted to get everything working before I turn on VPN server.
NVR IP is 192.168..1.108 and the IPC is 192.168.1.120 on 2.4G. NVR will see wired connection, but not wireless so I manually add it. I only have 1 wired IPC which works fine. The wireless either gives me user/password error or black screen, but no image stream.

I've spent the last two days trying to figure this out - I'm a total newb. The IPC shows ONVIF 17.12.

Any help appreciated. TIA.
 
So I was checking how to connect HIK IPC to Dahua NVR and saw the RTSP should be 554 (custom) instead of self adaption and voila! Not sure why it worked, but it did.
Any help to educate me still appreciated.
 
I use the VPN client on my router so my network connected devices use the tunnel to connect out. I also turned on the kill switch so no connection out if tunnel goes down.
 
Are you worried about privacy and that's why you block all outbound traffic if NordVPN is not available?
