just as the title says will a ipc-b5442e-z4e lens fit into a ipc-hfw5442t-ase-ni ? A animal took its frustration out on the cord when I had it outside for testing overnight.
 
I doubt it since they don't offer a turret version of the Z4E.

Unless the animal chewed it off right at the camera, you should have enough cable to work with to simply install a new connector.

1. fixed lenses 5442 are smaller.. so bigger optics probably will not fit...
2. even if you fit z4e lens inside fixed lens chassis, fixed lens mainboard for 99% will not have output to power motor inside z4e..
3. also license / configuration file for that fixed lens version inside cam flash drive, will not have enabled motorized focal length / focus functions..

you must repair cables on z4e version..
if only ethernet plug have been destroyed or even cable is cut in half, it will be easy to put a new plug at the end using crimper tool..

Good answer, I'll buy a crimping tool and give it a try .
