Hello All!

I recently purchased a Wyze Pan and have flashed it over to the beta protocol that has RTSP. I am having issues using the camera based on the following:

1. The RTSP on the Wyze camera keeps changing the IP address. This causes Blue Iris to lose connection to the camera. Does anyone know of a way to keep the Wyze camera on the same IP address?
2. The new RTSP protocol has caused motion tracking on the camera to run crazy. Prior to flashing the RTSP software, motion tracking was really accurate. Now, after flashing RTSP, the camera bounces all over the place "detecting motion"

Does anyone have any solutions to these problems, or should I just send the camera back and go with another brand? Any thoughts on a different brand? This camera will be used indoors to monitor the dogs.

Thank you in advance!!

1. I use the “reserve IP” feature in my router to always assign the same IP address to the Wyze cam (based on MAC address) as a work-around for it not having static IP support.

2. Since flashing the RTSP firmware to my Wyze cam, I just turned off all the in-camera motion detection features and do all of that in Blue Iris instead. It’s been more reliable and accurate than the camera’s anyway.
