Apparently they're still having issues 5 months later, Feb. 16, 2024:

"My sister texted me in a panic because her app is showing someone else's feed," one customer said, while others advised them to turn off the cameras until these ongoing issues are fixed."​

Software engineering is hard

Especially for very large-scale operations apparently. I remember back when iPhone 4 orders went live on AT&T in 2010 (they had an exclusivity deal) lots of people were seeing someone else's address on their order pages.



Makes you wonder if maybe security cameras should not be trusted to the cloud huh?!

The Wyze incident is not surprising for any cameras that rely on the vendor to proxy the views. Also, what is there to stop the employees or subcontractors of the vendor from viewing your cameras? My advice is to plan for it to happen and only have them in places where you don't expect privacy.
