I have an xvr5104hs i3 device, which I added a number of 2 megapixel cameras to, the quality is good in live mode, but the quality is very low in playback mode, what is the reason

Why don’t you start with telling us how you’re watching live and playback

The image quality in live is better than in playback mode

Playback may well be using the substream if you're seeing a big difference
