Ask @EMPIRETECANDY about the jbox.

Not currently using it. No presets found. Were you able to figure out the presets for this model? Also, what are you using this model for now? It seems not to be a true PTZ but the foam factor is very attractive

Link?Did you ever get a chance using this firmware, DH_SD-Eos-Civil_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_V2.800.0000000.5.R.190827.zip ? According to Andy, its the latest firmware, but not sure if it has presets or not.
Let me know

Wondering this, myself. This cam has always struck me as having potential. (I'll describe the application below.)Any update on this one?
Does that mean the loosened bit shown below can be reattached at 90° to what the rest of the photos show, facilitating soffit or ceiling mount?Swap mount for ceiling or wall configuration with removal of 4 screws.
Is that what prompted Arjun to ask...As stated, I left the the cam at factory defaults for testing... so no, it was in zoompriority.Looney,
Did you have smart IR on?
@looney2ns, have you tested this cam with Smart IR on?Face washes out when getting close to camera, does this have the Smart IR issue as well?
For what ever reason, I just now saw notifications for this thread.Wondering this, myself. This cam has always struck me as having potential. (I'll describe the application below.)

My application:
Have a shed ±100 feet from one back corner of the house. That side of the house is currently not covered by any cameras. Was thinking of throwing one of these on the shed and aiming it back at the house. It would look more-or-less like this with the PTZ1C203UE-GN at 3x:
Would probably do that only when we were going to be away from the house. The rest of the time leave it zoomed out to catch more backyard wildlife
(Btw: Those trees have since been elevated. A lot.)
Hmmm... Maybe you didn't click on prior notifications and the forum doesn't send more until you do?For what ever reason, I just now saw notifications for this thread.
Ah. Ok. You took that one so close-up I did not realize that's what that was Thanks!@Dramus
See the picture below the one you copied, in OP, for the mount being in the ceiling mount orientation.
If the spirit moves you I'd be much obliged. If you like, I will dig it out and check the SmartIR.
Done, Waiting for dark.....Hmmm... Maybe you didn't click on prior notifications and the forum doesn't send more until you do?
Anyway: Thanks for the follow-up!

Cool! Thanks!Ok, so this test is with the original firmware, not the new one that @EMPIRETECANDY was able to find yesterday. I will review that firmware in a day or so after I have a chance to play with it.
Yeah, that's much better than the originalHere is a better picture of the ceiling mount configuration. Remove the four screws that can be seen, the bracket then can be rotated to the ceiling orientation.
Yikes! IR blows out badly with AE. Tolerable image quality with fixed exposure.First is with the camera set to auto exposure, 2nd is with it set to 1/60, 3 is set to 1/120. IR is set to SmartIR.
You can see the obvious change times in the video.
<nod>I get many, many notifications most days, it's very possible I simply missed it.
That's disappointing In what way(s) does it not work correctly?I've found no issues with the new firmware, except IVS does not work correctly.
It'll be interesting to see if they addressed that.It has been raining each evening, so I've yet to test the SmartIR.
Personally, I'm not expecting them. Comparing this cam to the much-beefier PTZ cams, I doubt it was designed to be regularly slewed up & down, right & left.No PTZ presets, and I doubt there ever will be.
