  • Hi Andy,
after updating DH_NVR5XXX-4KS2 NVR to firmware V4.002.0000000.6.R.221115
IVS push notifications stop working, tried multiple factory resets, DMSS reinstallations, can't downgrade to older firmware, do you have a working firmware for it?

    Thanks
Hi Andy, Could I connect a doorbell from another brand which is connected via wifi to my lan to the NVR? SOmething like
Reolink Video Doorbell WiFi ? This can be used to their own NVR but Do not want a 2nd NVR
Or is tehre a good not exensive DAHUA alternative taht I can connect via Wifi to the NVR? It is impossible to get RJ45 to the bell location. Therre are only two wires that I could use as power source
Hey Andy, I'm looking at setting up my first security system for my home.
I'll be running Security Spy on my 2020 M1 Mac mini.
I am looking at purchasing four cameras.
Three of them would be mounted outside the house and one of them will be inside of a detached garage.
We're hoping to have great night vision in order to see the deers and coyotes that go by the house.

I'm not sure if we'll be able to run an ethernet line to the detached garage yet..
I have decent Wifi signal at the bar, on top of recommending a POE camera for the garage can you also recommend one that would work on WiFi?

    Thanks

Hello! I purchased five IPC-T2431T-AS-3.6mm cameras from Amazon under the Loryta brand in June 2021 and one of them is having issues. It's stuck in a reboot loop after my power went out. I have tried a different port on my PoE switch that was used by a working camera but it did not help. I'm unable to try installing any firmware since the camera reboots during the process. Could you please let me know if it's still covered under warranty? Would it be possible to replace it?

Here are the details from the camera:
    Device Type: IPC-T2431T-AS-3.6mm
System Version: V2.820.15OG000.0.R, Build Date: 2021-07-06
    WEB Version: V3.2.1.1067367
    ONVIF Version: 20.06(V2.9.1.1000915)
    S/N: 6M08821PAGF61BE
Hi Andy, I have a dahua starlight turret POE cam system with matching NVR I got from you in 2015 that's running great. I wish to setup another for a comparable price. What cameras would you recommend now and a matching NVR. $150-220 per camera would be budget. I want something at least as good as the dahua starlight turrets I have. I believe they were 2mp.
Hi - I'm looking for indoor and outdoor cameras to integrate with Blue Iris. Can you recommend the best model for night, for identifying small items? The cameras are for tracking my cats (I have 4), so if there is a small amount of vomit, I need the camera to be able to see it clearly (usually I would scan the footage to see when the vomit appeared, and which cat did it). I also need to be able to zoom in on food dishes to ensure everyone has eaten - that sort of thing. So I need very good clarity, especially at night, with the focus being on small pets rather than people/cars/security.

Also, I need it shipped to Spain.

    Thanks
    Karen
andy, i am looking for some sort of horn, siren, or speaker ( 2 way would be a plus) to mount in my carport so when i see something going on that should not be happening, i can honk the horn, play a pre-recorded sound, or just let the siren go for a few seconds to scare off the people that keep wandering onto my property while i am not there. basically when i get an alert from BI, i can punch the "oh crap" button and maybe it will scare them into just leaving instead of staying around and taking things that they want more than me. i have plenty of POE ports available. thanks in advance.
hello andy I would need help about a ptz 6al433xa I updated the firmware found on the site dahua DH_SD-Prometheus_MultiLang_NP_Stream3_V2.812.0000032.2.R.220804 after the reboot I reported the standard settings but when I enter with the web page I have no video streaming. while through nvr or pss everything works. I state that I use ie11 and install the webrec but I do not see anything.
I noticed that on the information page of the cam the web version is v3.2.1.1283440p9 while when I download plugin activex the version is v3.3.192509.0.can this be the problem?

You just make factory default to the PTZ and test again.

hello I maybe understood the problem I restored connected directly to the cam with the pc then I entered the webgui and it worked. when i reconnect the cam to the nvr the problem comes up again so i think it is nvr's fault it seems almost a security lock with https certificates.
    Hi Andy,

I bought an IPC-T2431T-AS camera in June 2021 and have been pleased with it. Yesterday, it stopped broadcasting video. I can still log into the camera and access settings, but no video. I have checked all connections, rebooted, still no video. Is the camera still under warranty?
Hey, few questions about NVR, can your NVR work with Dahua cameras and vice versa?
I heard that NVRs + external PoE switch is more reliable and considered better than NVR with a built in switch, is that correct?
What is a good 16ch NVR (with or without PoE depending on the previous answer), with analytics, and connections to HDD, alarm and external display?
    thx!
Andy, I have a few IP8M-2439EW Amcrest cams outside now. They are OK but in two locations I would like to get a bit better low light performance (the two that cover the driveway and outside parking area. Would like to do that without breaking the bank. What would you recommend? Plan on re-purposing the Amcrests to the basement.
Hi Andy, I have a QC918B that I want to be able to remote view. Can you help?
    Hi Andy,

I'm based in Australia and am looking to purchase through your Aliexpress store, I'm looking to get the following T5442TM-AS and T2431TM-AS-S2. Would you be able to recommend a lower budget version of the T2431TM that I will be using in a low access area? Also, would you be able to do a deal as I'll be purchasing 3 cameras?

    Thank you Andy

    Hi Nathan,

The lower budget than 2431TM, just use the IPC-T2431T-AS, this one is plastic one, work same as the T2431TM-AS.
Just send you a DM for further talking.

    Hi Andy,

I just got burned buying, from Amazon, an IPC-HFW2231T-ZS. The problem is that the 2MP really doesn't cut it in image quality.

Also the motorized zoom does not function when trying to utilize it in Blue Iris (near as I can tell).

My question is which of these two models would be a better choice: an IPC-B5842E-ZE or an IPC-T5842T-ZE with regards to image clarity, low-light quality, and overall build/longevity? They are about
$100 more than what I just paid.

    Thank you for any input.

    Andy

The 2mp has bit good nighttime pics compare to normal high resolution cameras.
Those 5842 ones are using 1/1.8cmos and more AI functions than the 2231, 2231 just a normal bullet camera, and work well at low light places.
There has good review on the forum about the 5842 ones. Work great.

    Dear Andy,

I am planning to buy several of your IPC-T5442T-ZE cameras. I want to make them less noticeable. Can I use white paint on the black plastic circle, outside of the rectangular camera opening?

    Thank you!
    E
    EMPIRETECANDY
    Hi buddy

The black plastic circle can't paint into white, there has IR light and sensor in it, if you paint the white, camera will not work in the night, so don't paint.
