Bricked a DH-NVR5208 - help

I USB uploaded new firmware on DH-NVR5208 (the one with 1 ethernet only) and it seems to have bricked the NVR
Nothing shows on TV
I am able to ping the IP (192.168.0.54) but thru a browser get "Unable to connect" error message
Via ConfigTool getting a 'Connection Failed'

Any suggestions on how to rescue this.

next step buy serial/usb cable?

i have bought a usb/serial cable. any advise on best way to use it to rescue NVR.

Hi Dax - not made any progress yet. Need some handholding on what to do. Noticed that when i checked the USB stick multiple "PrintF" files had been added to it. like "printf_20171121234757"
It also reboots every 5 or 10 minutes

When i connected mine to hyperterminal,all the info scrolling through the screen meant nothing to me,but it did give me the option to stop it booting

excuse my ignorance - what cable did you use? how did you do it

i used a d plug serial cable,and just loaded hyperterminal on to the pc,and it came up on it straight away

@alastairstevenson is always looking for bricked units on the cheap...he generally works with hikvision, but maybe hes looking for a change...just dont swindle him, or he will come after you with a vengeance
