I receive security warnings from Xfinity multiple times a week, sometimes daily. Is my NVR being hacked? I am using the standard white tower provided with the cable service. Is there anything I can do about this?

AMDV8M8-H5 hooked up connected directly to cable modem.

It could be hacked trying to use your ISP as a bot attack.

Or it could be it doesn't like the plug-in and is throwing out a false alert.

Have you tapped it to see what it says the risk is?

Have you looked at the log to see if people are logging in?

And with all your wifi cams exposed to the internet, a hacking is certainly possible.

The Xfinity app says its an "IP reputation" risk. "An IP Reputation security risk happens when a device coming from a high-risk source tries to access a device on your home network."

Xfinity recommends I either "pause" the device (disconnect it, update it, or restart it. Pretty useless.
