@benallgood What happens if you drop Denoise even further? Like 20, or even 10. The video is far from noisy, but it still smears quite a bit (albeit a little better than before). And while you're at it, the daytime image is oversaturated. Does lowering saturation to 45 or 40 make it look more natural during the day?

Its too bad we cannot set the shutter speed depending on time of day. If I select Frame Clarity, then it is set for Frame Clarity 24/7, not for 10 out of 24 hours for a day.
Why would you ever want to take it off of that setting?

I would opt for frame clarify at night and set shutter speed to auto during the day if that was ever an option. Daytime performance is generally flawless of any decent IP camera

This is doing auto shutter. It looks like it just sets a floor to not go slower than 1/120. It's showing really fast shutter times during the day.

That sounds about right to me, because the 1/0.5" inch does not require a longer exposure time especially during the day; fast shutter speed is more than ample for daytime performance; don't want overexposure

I'm going to keep working on it. I did make those changes, and will see how it looks tonight. I do tend to prefer the daytime performance of the G6 Pro.

@benallgood That looks much better (previous cloudy day example here). We'll see how it does at night with the lower Denoise! The G6 Pro should always outperform the 5442 during the day since it has twice the resolution plus modern WDR. To me, the image also looks a little low on gamma (dark shadows), but I see they don't give you a setting for that.

Yeah, I'd never run the 5442 on Vivid—much too saturated. Even the Color4M-TL (which lacks saturation by default), I never run on Vivid—I just put it on Standard and push Saturation to 55.

Yeah, T54IR setting for WDR at 50 is way too high. I usually set it all my cameras WDR to around 15-25 during daytime. Maybe also decrease Gamma to 45 for day time to test it if is any better?
