Need recommendations on PTZ cameras.

I have the T5442T - ZE cameras setup and have been working for awhile, but I realize I would be better off with a couple of PTZ cameras and would like to know what you would recommend that is similar to these or of even higher quality.

Any advice and recommendations is greatly appreciated.

I currently use DMSS as my viewing application on my mobile device.

Thread 'PTZ5A4M-25X Tracking issues - Dahua SD5A425GA-HNR'

Having horrible tracking issues with this PTZ.

Any suggestions? I had a 6 series there for 4 years that had AWESOME tracking, but with the 1/2,8" sensor it just really began to suck in low light (and I think weather may have gotten to it)

The image on this PTZ5A4M-25X / SD5A425GA-HNR is far superior with the 1/1.8" sensor, but if it can't track better than this, it doesn't really matter

For a residential home I would go with this, though be aware nighttime IR is weak. As @wittaj says its not on the ideal sensor size.
But with adequate ambient light (street lights etc) its fine.

DO NOT get the smoked lens version

Also most folks find out real quick that a PTZ should be used to compliment fixed cameras, not replace them. You will be disappointede when its not focused on a target becasue its run off looking at some other target.

You can also use fixed cameras as spotters to call the PTZ to a place for a closer look when the fixed camera sees something

Buddy got one off of Amazon without checking.

Nighttime IR is weak to begin with, the smoked cover makes it worse
