Tripwire IVS recording on NAS not working

Hello,

I use a Dahua IPC-HFW4421SP:


Software Version2.400.0000.15.R, build : 2015-08-30
WEB Version3.2.1.291804
ONVIF Version2.4.2



Recordings are (should be) stored on a SYNPLOGY Diskstation with installed Surveillance Station. So far all cameras work, even a Dahua Dome Camera.
But my new camera (see above) ist the first with which I want to use IVS detection instead of simple motion detection, since I hace lots of false recordings because of trees and bushes (wind).
My Problem: There are no recordings when the recording is triggered by the tripwire detection. Live image on the camera shows that the object ist recognized and narkd at the moment it crosses the line.

I tried the following:

• I activated FTP recording (FTP-server on the same NAS), that works. Still no recordings in Surveillance software.
• I activated motion detection on camera surface. Now there are recordings, but those are triggerd by change in the picture, not the crossed line.

What went wrong? Basically, the Surveillance software accepts the triggered recording from the motion function, but noc the tripwire.
Tripwire itself works on FTP.


I can't find a special setting to modifiy/activate the "alarm" sent to the surveillance software. With motion detection active, this alarm is sent.


I postet this problem on the Synology forum, still no answer (seems no one has this hardware-combination).


Is the firmware too old?
The IPC-HFW4421S (no "P") is listed in the camera setup on the synology. Strange thing: The Surveillance software doesn't hace acces to the camera with a user account, only with the admin credentials. My other dahua (nearly same hardware but inside a dome) runs with the user credentials.

Just wondering if you had any luck tracking this down. I attempted to do the same thing with IVS tripwire and the same Dahua camera model and had the same result no recordings generated by Surveillance Station. Recording is only generated when Video motion detected but not with IVS setting.

Surveillance Station ONVIF implementation does not accept IVS alarms, the only thing you can use IVS with is a Dahua NVR.

Thanks, that was a partial solution. I thougt of buying the NVR-4216 but I read that only the 4K-versions support IVS. So I bought the NVR-4232 4K (the 16ch version was out of stock).

But, unfortunately, no IVS support. Nowhere was an IVS entry to be seen. Another hint in the forum made me perform an downgrade to version DH_NVR4XXX-4K_Eng_P_V3.210.0002.0.R.20150928 (installed was ,0005). And there it was, the IVS entry! IVS-recordings are orange in the timeline btw.

Recording now works, the only problem I have: The Smart PSS-software on my PC won't show IVS recordings, just normal and alarm. There is no IVS in the type list für recordings. Strating a new discussion about that...

make sure you have the latest SmartPSS, IIRC IVS support was jsut added recently.

Old thread, but just to make this clear in case someone is having a similar problem:

I didn't use PSS, I was on the NVR direclty (monitor and mouse). There was no IVS menu until I downgraded the firmware. Obviously Dahua removed IVS support with the newer firmware versions?
Since this thread is nearly a year old, has enyone tried newer firmware with worling IVS?
