There's no optional auto-tracking on this model. It doesn't support auto-tracking at all.

Perhaps you could use a 3rd party software for auto tracking like iSpy? I don't know if Blue Iris also has auto tracking but it might be worth looking into those.

Autotracking is a waste of money, forget about it and move on with your life.. dont pay money for a feature you will never use once you realize how shitty it is.

I thought about how auto tracking could just help me. I believe what you say.

You can have a Dahua PTZ paired with other IVS fixed cameras and an IVS NVR and setup a nice system containing fixed wide angle over view cameras with intrusion zones that trigger the PTZ to go to that area (preset) and get a tighter frame.. and mix in some physical motion sensors here and there with the alarm inputs for a pretty decent system.. much better than autotracking alone.

Question on IVS.

i am looking at the mini ptz camera's SD22204T-GN

http://www.dahuasecurity.com/products/sd22204t-gn-3761.html

there seems to be a modell that ends on GNI, which indicates IVS.

do i understand it right i need the I modell to have Tripwire, intrucion etc functionality ?
i do not need auto tracking features, but would like to have some smart detection on the timeline on a NVR somi not have to manually go through hours of recordings (works ok now with hikvision)

yes, -I is for intelligent models.

Though I dont know how effective IVS will be on a PTZ, a line drawn at one preset wont be effective at another.. guess if its parked all the time and only moved manually but my PTZ's tend to respond to my home automation.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare.aspx?CompareItemList=-1|9SIABFE4EF2167^9SIABFE4EF2167,81-182-381^81-182-381I intend to have 2 cameras at front of the 12 meter wide house, and one on each side looking in the direction of the front of the house. (Neighbor garage one side, fence other side)
So it would be nice to be able to move the front unit to the side when event is happening there to get video from 2 sides of the event. (Side cameras would be either 5 or 8 meter backwards on the side of the house)

Also the same for the back of the house, there will be 2 or 3 cameras there, one under the veranda other one with wider angle. I intend to instal a larger ptz on 2nd floor there, perhaps change my hikvision to dahua also than, and that could.

i will ask the aliexpress seller for the I version than. Ordered one without I extention. Ordered one to try it out a bit before i implement.

edit: i asked 2 sellers and one will look into it after holidays (1 week it seems) and the other one does not want to understand what i am asking i think.

"maybe, you can check whether this camera is whether ok for you/:000"

on my question:

"So i think the modell is than SD22204T-GNI. (I for intelligent functions like line crossing etc)"

The inital discussion she pointed me to the dahua website with a non working url. So i doubt that is a dealer i want to buy from..

newgg lists the, both:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare.aspx?CompareItemList=-1|9SIABFE4EF2167^9SIABFE4EF2167,81-182-381^81-182-381

so product number seems to be in th usa: DH-SD22A204TN-GNI

edit:
now i found a eu supplier which had this link in their website:
http://www.dahuasecurity.com/download/dh-sd22204t-gn.pdf

this claims to have ivs for the modell without I on the end.

Also the test it, and send me a picture from the screen that it is working with
ivs for the basic model.

but to make it confusing, they changed the website so it is now optional, but still claim to have models with ivs

Do you still have this opinion after almost a year?

How to setup your way?

I have:
4 hardware motion detectors Connected to Fibaro HC2
1 motion detector (Aeon 6 in 1) connected to Fibaro HC2
2x SD 52C430U-HNI
3x SD 50430U-HNI
4 Foscam PI9900

Yes it is a lot, just a electronic freak:wtf:

IVS still be a very important function for the camera. Auto tracking just as an optional~
