With my cameras when they were independant, I had snapshots going to an FTP server (that were when uploaded to google photos - it makes a great scroll log for events).

Now that I have 2 of my cameras plugged into the NVR, the only FTP options seem to be from the NVR....which seems to only send video to the FTP if I enable it.

Is there a way of getting MD snapshots only from the cameras to FTP?

1. Dahua NVR supports FTP snapshots, check your configuration schedule.
2.Strange request.. for what you use FTP? You can record to HDD snapshot and get remote access via DSS or Smart-PSS

Yes I've got snap shots triggered by motion detection finally working....but .dav files are also sent to the FTP server. I was hoping to just get images sent via FTP as I already pull dav files with smart-pss.

I use FTP as it's on a machine where the folder is parsed by google photos and all the snap shots are sent to google photos. Saves me having to allow remote access to my network

BTW as an aside, is there any way of configuring the filename? I know with the cameras, you could play with the StorageGroup http config (or export/import a config file) and alter the FileStoragePath string. Is there some way of doing this on an NVR?
