I have a Swann DVR8-400 8 channel dvr system that is connected to my network. There are several cameras connected to it. I would like to view them in blue iris but I can't figure out the camera properties to view them. Can anyone help me get this working though blue iris?
Can you post a screen shot of the video configure screen (the screen where you select the camera make & model)? It should help determine the problem.
you are likely using the wrong ports...check the rtsp port on the dvr and make sure it matches. Not really sure what options to select is the problem

Are the ports set up in the router? Just a guess since I don't have Comcast. I need to set up the ports in the WAN area of my router.
The DVR has a camera 1, I assume. Have you tried HikVision, Other RTSP? this is my last suggestion, Fenderman has a much greater knowledge than I do.
this has nothing to do with port forwarding...log into your dvr, what are the ports? http, rtsp..Are the ports set up in the router? Just a guess since I don't have Comcast. I need to set up the ports in the WAN area of my router.
what settings are you using? is your dvr in the dropdown menu? You are not using the correct url and or portsI'm having the exact same issue but my dvr brand is Kmoon that I purchased on amazon. It has RTSP support and appears to be a nice little dvr/nvr. I've also entered the correct http and media ports into blueiris but the image from my connected analog camera #1 never appears in BI.
I thought the rtsp support in the dvr was enough to make it work with BI. What are we doing wrong?
its not that simple...see sticky in the troubleshooting section of this forum...you need to use the RTSP port, that is not 34567My dvr is not in the dropdown but blueiris says that if the dvr is rtsp compatible that it should work. I'm entering my dvr's ip which is 192.168.0.10, http port 80, media port 34567 and I let blueiris scan the IP. Blueiris says rtsp detected, i click save and exit but no camera appears.
There is another field to enter the rtsp port number in that blueiris page but i leave it as is which is 8999, I have also entered my dvr's media port there which is 345667 and still no luck.
Is there a specific rtsp port number that i should be using? If there is I can't seem to find that port number anywhere on my dvr's settings pages.
