No the power brick is just 2 black cables.

Didn't get any sort of connector block or any bolts for the mount

Mine is definitely different, and came with a red/black wire. Also, it's labeled Output: 24V AC. I'm at work so I cant take a picture of it right now.

From experiece, the wire with the writing on it is the RED. Does it even matter with AC power? I'm not an electrician, but I have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express before.... (you might not get that in the UK? : )

Disclaimer: Please check with a multimeter. I would feel terrible if i caused you to fry your new camera. Maybe others can confirm.

AC is alternating current it doesn't matter which way around you put them lol

The power supply is class2 so doesn't require a ground

Should just be a case of connecting red and black from camera to either one on the brick

Plenty of holiday Inn express over here!!

For The Win. I prefer to use POE and have one cable rather than mess with a power brick.
Haha I'm getting old.
Poe will be used in the mounting place but need to test canera first as I can't install until the weekend

I just received a SD59225U-HNI from Andy this week and the PFB300S mount was offset like most others. My instructions were also like the others in that it shows the PFB303W for installation.

However, I don't think the current packaging insert (styrofoam) will allow the PFB303W to be shipped in any new cameras he sends out unless Dahua sends such also. Just going to be a pain for Andy if he has to ship the camera and the mount individually.

Better figure it out Andy as looks like I'm going to order another PTZ one by the end of the week! :)
The spec sheet on the Dahua website shows the bracket we are all getting as the one included.

shrug, thats because it moves several times faster than your Huisun and has quality motors that wont take a shit unexpectedly..

PTZ's are not slient, Mine's on the corner of my bedroom and I can hear it move from bed.. but it'd never wake me up.. just a muffled VRRRRP

That's exactly how mine sounds but I wouldn't say it's loud.
It's certainly louder than the huisun but I don't think I'd hear mine from outside.

@nayr I'm looking at motion sensors at the minute any particular ones you'd recommend?
I looked at the one in your thread but as I'm in UK I can't really get hold of one.

It's basically going to sit near my front door to trigger the ptz to get to that preset when tripped.

Ideally I'd like to run the power to it from the ptz as I will be running it via the power brick so could split the power at camera end.

look for the request to exit motion sensors, they are designed to mount over a doorway and cast a wide and narrow beam that works very well for this kinda stuff..

This one I'm using on the side of my house w/my Black Face PTZ, will run directly off 24vac too: OP-08CBL | OPTEX

Thanks buddy I'll have a look.

I did try and find those optex ones you have but I can't source them over here which is a shame
I can't even find a price within the UK.

I'll have a look for the request to exit sensors you mention

Had the Huisun 2x PTZ ( Not Mini ) for over 2 years now and not 1 problem whatsoever, Let me come back to you in 2-3 years here and give you the same report on the Dahua PTZ.
After reading your unbiased reviews I would expect the Dahua costing more than twice the price to be a significant upgrade to the Huisun hence the purchase and just looking forward to mounting this sucker hopefully at the weekend pending the arrival of a bracket.

I have also ordered a HFW4231S 2mp starlight ( Bullet Style ) to replace my Hikvision 2032 which again should be a worthwhile upgrade.

I know one thing for sure this CCTV game is costing me a fortune.
It's a great hobby though I love it.
Did Andy let you change your order from those original turret type ones you were going to buy?

@nayr I've found a couple of Honeywell ones I can source locally
They seem to have the requirements I need.

You wouldn't mind just casting an eye over them would you?

There's 2 models 1 has an alarm buzzer which I don't think I really need and the other obviously doesn't have the buzzer.

Page is here:

I ordered the HFW4231S 2mp starlight ( Bullet Style ) from the offset as small and discreet to fit under the bay window gutter

PS do you ever sleep?
Oh yeah I remember now it's the smaller bullet you ordered isn't it.

Nope don't sleep much was up at 7:30 this morning and be up at 6:30 tomorrow.

I never have been a good sleeper especially when my mind is ticking

Is the SD59225U HNI the best camera for mounting to a chimney to overlook the driveway and street? Is there a better PTZ bullet performer?
