Is it worth buying the full IDMSS iOS App to use with a Dahua system?

Are there any other Apps you guys are using?
 
Yeah if you want to use Push Notifications, otherwise it dont offer much more than the Lite version IIRC

I dunno about iOS but on Android the notification sound is a system sound.. make sure you have that setup and not muted.
 
Anyone else having issues with iOS idmss app not giving sound alert? I have everything on my iPhone set to give sound alerts. I'm getting the push notification every time the tripwire goes off in IVS, but just no iphone sound.

I unfortunately had to give up on IDMSS pro as the app would crash all the time on iPhone 7 and you have to load the cameras each time you open it. It took no less then 5-6 buttons taps to get to where I wanted it to be each time I opened it. The BI app opens right where I want in one tap in under 5 secs and push notifications work.

I sent 6 emails out to Dahua, they responded a few times and then stopped responding to my questions about improving the app. I felt like they didn't care about receiving feedback and didn't care about improving the user's experience. It is unfortunate. The app has potential but needs support.
 
I use gdmss and push works fine but it gotten broken in the past. Also, you can set up favorite views so you don't have to open each camera separately. One button will open that view. Typically you load the favorite view and that will open up each time until you load another view. I did a review of the app a while back but I realize that it's not the ios app, so ymmv.

 
What about playback? Don't you have to buy the Pro version to utilize playback? How how do you set this up so you dont have to load the cameras each time?
 
I just downloaded iDMSS pro for a new cam, paid the $4.99...and it doesnt do sound over bluetooth for the push notifications, very dissapointing

Any updates on this?
