We observed this behind one of our plazas yesterday. The kid was apprehended and clearly something wasn't right. We are still waiting for more info on the vehicle. The first few seconds are crazy.

Now that youtube does not have an editor, we have been looking for an editing app that wil give us 4k resolution if needed. This was put together with openshot, which is only giving us 720p and I don't think that they have a paid version yet with higher resolution.

I have messed around a little bit with the trial version of Filmora (I wanted to zoom in on part of a video), but would welcome any suggestions for a basic and relatively inexpensive editing tool for neighborhood vigilantes like myself.

We are researching a few different options. We used a trial version of camstasia and liked the screen record feature also. If we are going to buy something for $100-$200 it might as well come with some cool features. The down side is that you pay per license per device, so its $200 per computer that it gets installed on.

Apparently I've been under a rock and missed the memo on youtube editor. That's disappointing, while not my first choice it was quite handy in certain situations.

I glanced at OpenShot's documentation and didn't see limit on the resolution it could work with or export, but I haven't used it.

Here are some other free video editing options:
Shotcut - Home <- supports 4k, but I haven't used it for 4k.
Kdenlive | Libre Video Editor probably supports 4k, idk.

Lower cost paid options:
Easy Video Editor & Movie Maker Software | Adobe Premiere Elements 2018 <- currently on sale for $59/seat
Video programs of VEGAS Movie Studio family in comparison <- currently on sale for $49-79/seat

What do you guys think:
-A kid who isn't old enough to drive took daddy's truck for a joy ride, recreational pharmaceuticals optional
-A stolen vehicle
-He crashed his own car? (he doesn't look 16 to me)

Thanks, @bababouy, for another great video.

If he doesn't get help soon he'll be dead within weeks or a few months. That's sad but what REALLY scares me is that he's driving a 5,000 lb vehicle around on the streets! And there's way too many more out there just like him. Tragic AND frightening.

These are 3mp HikVision turrets, which are really nice cameras and these are set to record at full resolution. The 720p is coming from the video editor

Looks like PEA (phenyl ethyl amines) can be a bunch of things including MDMA but are basically stimulants with hallucinogenic properties. Scary when folks are doing stuff like that and then driving. Services like Bababouy's are saving lives.

Absolutely crazy video. Trying to climb that wall and falls off the shopping cart - that had to hurt. Why is he climbing that wall???? Apparently to get to the other side.

It looks like he dropped a deuce in the back seat.

I think you're right. WTF!
I think he hit a curb somewhere before start of this video and damaged the right front wheel and cut the tire.
Try stopping it around 13, 14 or 15 sec's on the white stopbar and you can tell. Then at 33 it's almost flat when he slams on the brakes.

Here is a clip from the front of the plaza. Watch the guy with the grey t-shirt and hat on when he hears the avalanche drifting around the corner. This is a busy shopping plaza and there were a couple of people that called P.D. also. They were actually chasing him down, which is the reason that he went over the wall. He comes back over a few minutes later because a citizen had driven to the other side of that wall to try and keep him contained until the cops arrived.

What an idiot. Who knows, had the guy in grey Tee and hat not been paying attention, he might have been seriously injured or killed. Even if it's not a tweaker behind the wheel, you have to have your head on a swivel in some of these parking lots...people (especially young women 19-30) drive too #$%& fast in these parking lots.
I dodged cars for over 31 years working on traffic signals in N. CA., I'm retired and 68 now and no way can I move fast enough any more. LOL
Good stuff, @bababouy!

One thing's for sure... whatever the drugs, it didn't do anything for his upper body/arm strength. Kid couldn't even get his own body weight up on the wall...
