Has anyone tried using a 128GB Micro SD card as on board Hikvision camera storage?

While I understand the Hikvision user manual states 64GB is the maximum recommended Micro SD card size.

I was just wondering if anyone has tried using a 128GB Micro SD card to see if it would work.

Hard drive storage used for 1 hour of 3mp recording.

Storage capacity of 128GB drive.

You can try your own camera / hard drive configuration here.

or you can download Hikvisions "DiskCalculator" from the link below and give it try. I haven't used it as yet, so I'm not sure if its any good or not.

Did you ever try to use the 128GB card with the Hikvision camera? I'm also thinking of doing the same thing.

Nope, but I notice the latest version of Hikvision camera software (V5.3.1 onwards) now supports 128Gig cards as standard. I didn't want to upgrade the current software because I would lose a number of features.

I've used the 6 4Gb sdcards and they work well. With motion and line detection enabled I get about 8 weeks storage on a busy driveway.

My 4mp 128Gb cams have been shipped and I'll try the 128Gb capacity.

I wouldn't upgrade unless your having issues or unless you like mucking around with "mtd hacks" and and all the rest.

Oh great, I got the LTS CMIP3132-28S (Hikvision DS-2CD2532F-IS) and it works fine with the Patriot 128GB micro SDXC with the firmware that came with it. I inserted it in and formatted it (took a long ass time) but now it records and I can pay stuff back. I hoping I can get alteast 4 to 5 days of recording with this card, since I'm doing 3MP/10fps for a front counter with lots of motion activity.
